This small dresser was so much fun! I find that when pieces are inexpensive (or Free!) that I’m more inclined to be adventurous!
While picking up a bunch of furniture I bought, I saw this dresser in the gentleman’s garage. I asked if it was for sale? He said, “really? it’s in the pile to go to the dump? you can have it!” #WIN
But what to do with it! It was a small dresser, all wood and in good shape. Whatever I chose, it would need new hardware.
Etsy is a wonderful, creative platform where I usually find inspiration and hand made goods for my hobbies. I often order large stencils from all over the world to use on my furniture. I’ve wanted to use these 3 Parisian stencils for over a year but I didn’t want to make a larger piece too specific so that it sat in my booth for 5 months! Let’s try it out on this!
I chose Dixie Bell Caviar for the outside of the dresser, Dixie Bell Duck Egg for the drawers and a flat black for the stencil. I sealed it with Dixie Belle “Best Darn Wax” in clear, added new hardware and I think it’s adorable!
